Such indirect social investment
(SOC) facilities as roads, railroads,
harbors and distribution bases
are a national key network which
plays a pivotal role in national
economic development. To enhance
efficiency and creativity in
SOC projects, the government
tends to enhance private capital
investment.
Korea Infra Development was
founded to fulfil such investment
and development need for social
infrastructures.
Our first project to be undertaken
relates to the Yeongnam District
Cargo Terminal Complex and Inland
Container Base.
In August 2004 Korea Infra Development
became the nominee which was
given the priority in negotiating
the project. In addition, we
intend to expand our business
domains into other national
key network projects.

Korea Infra
Development aims to enhance the quality
of the citizens by achieving a comprehensive
development of public lands and national
key networks. In particular, success
in SOC projects is achievable only
when a company¡¯s professional knowledge
and know-how for dealing with the
issues arising from various fields
such as public works, construction,
banking, legal affairs, transport
and environment are tied together.
We will exert our full efforts to
strive for national development based
on our technology and professional
knowledge for undertaking SOC projects.
Moreover, it is our objective to maximize
efficiency in public and private investment
while pursuing the growth of public
infrastructures by gathering the newest
technology of public key networks. |

On August 19,
2004 Korea Infra Development became
the nominee which will be given the
priority in negotiating the Youngnam
Cargo Terminal Complex and Inland
Container Base project. This is one
of the government¡¯s crucial projects
implemented to create the base as
a new distribution hub in Northeast
Asia. The newly built base will become
the nation¡¯s 5th largest distribution
base following the bases in Gunpo
and Yangsan in operation. Construction
of the new base will be completed
in 2008, and it will serve as the
distribution hub in Daegu & Gyeongbuk
districts as well while helping reduce
national distribution costs and revitalize
regional economy. |
